Jewish Disability and Inclusion Month 2026

On March 1st 2026, I launched my book Milo The Mime. The launch

party/Book Fair was held at the Rodef Shalom Synagogue for the

Jewish Disability and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) event. The experience

was overall positive. So many families were there to enjoy my book.

I even read to an audience of children ages 5-12, and they loved it so

much. I was happy that they were interested in my book. I do hope they

love my future work. I wasn’t the only reader. There was another reader

who had her own book to read. It was about a ballerina in a

wheelchair called Ballerina on Wheels which was a wonderful story.

Our books teach lessons in tolerance and acceptance with one’s own

disabilities or disadvantages. As authors and illustrators, our hope is to

tell stories that inspire the reader to understand more than what they

knew yesterday or the day before

I seriously want to thank Issac Fisher and Lynn

Rubenson for inviting me to this event. And I also

want to thank the entire Pittsburgh Jewish

Community for being my audience in the live reading.

They are wonderful people. And thanks for the free

kippah. I also want to thank Eat’n Park for their

Smiley Cookies. And an extra thanks to jeremy for

being my mime. Hopefully there will be other events

similar to JDAIM, as a way to expand my work and

reach out to people. Who knows, in the end.
